Despite facing a civil war, Angola has grown rapidly and is now the second-major oil producer in Sub Saharan Africa. As Angola advances at a rapid pace, global investors have also considered investing in the region. A recent report states that the Angolan government has set a National Development plan to develop and rehabilitate its roads, construction and logistics platforms.

Bringing to the foray the importance of a safe work culture, Fleming Gulf is launching the HSSE Angola Conference on the 3 and 4 of June 2014 in Luanda.

The conference will also feature workshops on hazardous waste management and fire security awareness.

Experts at the conference will represent distinguished organizations like Sonangol, Angola LNG, AASSO (Angolan Association of Occupational Health and Safety), National Civil Protection and Fire Fighter Agency(SNPCB) from Angola. Representatives from Shell Petroleum Development Company (Nigeria), De Beers Group (South Africa) and Ministry of Minerals and Energy (Namibia) will also speak at the conference.

The event is sponsored by leading companies in the field of health, safety and security like Bureau Veritas, AON and DNV-GL.
