Under the direction of DyanScudieri, the service provides a liaison for patients to lean on as they undergo treatments and also strives to take some of the burdens off patients’ shoulders.

The Clinical Care Coordinator program offers patients such services as:

• Assistance with appointment scheduling
• Education on all treatment options
• Help deciphering testing results
• Communication with medical providers
• Support, friendship and encouragement

“Cancer is a scary diagnosis, but there is no need for patients to walk the journey alone,” says Scudieri. “It is my mission to help patients every step of the way to make their experience as comfortable as possible while alleviating stress and anxiety along the way.”

Scudieri is a licensed vocational nurse who has spent more than 30 years working in various nursing settings. She is also a veteran cancer specialist who can ensure patients receive the information, care and compassion they need throughout treatment and beyond.
