(November 23, 2019) – National Tax Reports rightly knows that the W-2 Form is a frustrating source every year. To abide by the law, employers will have to send out the W2-forms by the 31st of January every year. If the date turns out to be a holiday, they will have to send it on the following business day. But, employers may or may not share this form with employees.

National Tax Reports clarifies whether employees can get this form from H & R Block. The blog states that employees can get it for free from this source. This service is referred to as W-2 Early Access service and it permits employees to get an electronic version of their W-2 form. In turn, they can start their tax proceedings early.

The blog clarifies that to get the form early, employees will have to follow a three-step process in H & R Block. The first step in this process is to search for their company by entering the employer name or the Federal Employer Identification Number. They are recommended to select the right employer from the list.

The second step in the process is that they will get the instructions on how to obtain the form online through H & R Block. Here, they are recommended to take note that their form might not be available yet. If not available, they have the option to subscribe to H & R Block to get a notification once the form is available. The final step is that H & R Block stores all W-2 Forms securely online until accessed.
