Summit County sold more than $17 million worth of recreational cannabis in the first ten months of 2017 with numbers rising to the start of 2023, this means that this county ranks tenth in the Colorado's recreational cannabis sales. Colorado dispensaries sold close to $1 billion in recreational cannabis with the top county being Denver and the tenth being Summit County.

In 2017, Denver was responsible for $289 million in sales, while Summit County was responsible for $17.8 million. These were figures published by the Colorado Department of Revenue. The new reports backdated their reports to 2014, when recreational cannabis was first legalized for adult-use in the state.

The sixty four Colorado counties are placed in five distinct districts, which include eastern, western souther, mountain, and Front Range. The mountain district includes Jackson County to Custer County. This also includes Clear Creek, Eagle, and Summit Counties. Summit County remains at the top of the mountain district with over $2.3 million sales in recreational marijuana with the other counties not even coming close to those figures.

Denver remains the highest with marijuana sales close to $300 million, but you need to also consider the local population when compared to Summit County.
