The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) in the Gili Islands with Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod is now the first choice when it comes to developing a new career as a Scuba Diving Instructor.
 
Gili Islands, Indonesia - Over the past three years the PADI IDC Indonesia Program in the Gili Islands has gone from strength to strength in providing dive professionals with a first class education and the necessary skills to progress within the recreational diving industry. The program, having already been awarded for its commitment to providing professional PADI Instructor training, is now attracting more and more people looking for a quality educational experience. The course is fully conducted by PADI Course Director Holly Macleod who has not only repeatedly been awarded the Platinum PADI Status in respect of pure professionalism and commitment to Instructor Development, but has also been repeatedly awarded the Elite 300 Instructor Award denoting the high level of experience in Instructor training during each calendar year.

The course includes a 5 day preparation course which is designed to review and develop the knowledge and skills from the Divemaster Course to a demonstration standard. The Pre-IDC program is designed to review Physics, Physiology, RDP, Equipment and Dive Skills & Environment topics which should be covered in any Divemaster Course. There is also some water skills practiced along with the Rescue Exercise 7 from the PADI Rescue Diver Course.

During the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), candidates will participate in a variety of sessions in the classroom, confined water and open water.

Classroom Sessions involve candidates participating in a variety of workshops and presentations including Marketing, The 4 E’s of sales, Diver Retention, The Business of Diving, Risk Management and Diver Acquisition. There will also be specific sessions assigned to candidates conducting their classroom presentations whilst being evaluated by Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.

Confined Water Sessions take place in the swimming pool and will include the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) Workshop, The PADI Skill Circuit Workshop, The Rescue Workshop, The Student Control and Positioning Workshop. Candidates will also be evaluated on their individual Confined Water teaching presentations. During confined sessions there is also plenty of time allocated for Skills and Rescue Exercise 7 practice.

In Open Water Sessions candidates will present their Individual Open Water Presentation and take part in a variety of workshops including the CESA and Descents workshops, Student Control Workshops, Adventures in Diving Workshops and Rescue Workshops. There will also be further Rescue Exercise 7 practice and skill development sessions
