Wie bereits berichtet, soll das iPhone SE in Form und Industriedesign dem iPhone 5s sehr ähnlich sein, allerdings analog zu den aktuellen Spitzenmodellen iPhone 6s und iPhone 6s Plus unter anderem mit dem Apple A9 Prozessor, einer fortschrittlicheren Kamera und Unterstützung für Live Photos sowie Apple Pay aufwarten. Ein drucksensitives Display (3D Touch) wird das neue 4 Zoll iPhone jedoch nicht mitbringen.Zusätzlich zum iPhone SE soll Apple den Angaben von 9to5Mac nach außerdem ein neues iPad Pro ankündigen, das statt eines 12,9 ein 9,7 Zoll Display bietet. Abgesehen von der Bildschirmgröße ist es aber wohl so, dass das kommende Modell dem bereits bekannten Profi-Tablet in nichts nachstehen wird. Das beginnt bei einem leistungsstarken Apple A9X Prozessor und reicht bis zu einem Smart Connector, über den sich das Gerät beispielsweise mit einem passenden Smart Keyboard koppeln lässt.Abgerundet werden soll die Riege der Apple-Ankündigungen Ende März dann noch von einer Reihe neuer Armbänder für die Apple Watch und frischer Software-Updates für diverse Produktreihen des Unternehmens. Microsoft will mit einer Reihe neuer Werbespots auf die interessantesten Features eines neuen Windows 10 PCs aufmerksam machen. In den Clips werden beispielsweise die Möglichkeiten des digitalen Assistenten Cortana sowie die Unterstützung von Touchscreens aufgezeigt. Zugleich lässt es sich der US-Softwareriese nicht nehmen, dem alten Rivalen Apple beziehungsweise dessen Macs den ein oder anderen Seitenhieb zu verpassen.Microsoft hat mehrere Werbespots für Windows 10 veröffentlicht, die auf einige der neuen Features des noch jungen Desktop-Betriebssystems aufmerksam machen sollen. Mit Hilfe zweier Frauen - den "Bug Chicks" -, die sich darüber unterhalten, wie sie bei Kindern mehr Interesse für die Welt der Insekten wecken können, werden Funktionen wie der digitale Assistent Cortana, die Windows-Anmeldung via Windows Hello und die Unterstützung von Touchscreens vorgestellt. Besonders interessant an den Clips ist aber gerade auch, dass jeder einzelne einen kleinen Seitenhieb auf Apples Macs beziehungsweise deren Betriebssystem OS X bereithält, wenn eine der Damen beispielsweise sagt: "Even on the new Macs they don't have that."

Übrigens: Der Gerüchteküche nach arbeitet Apple daran, ein Cortana-ähnliches Feature in der nächsten großen OS X Version (wahrscheinlich 10.12) zu implementieren. So soll der von iOS her bekannten Sprachassistent Siri Teil des Desktop-Betriebssystems werden. Konkrete Hinweise oder gar eine offizielle Bestätigung gibt es diesbezüglich aber natürlich noch nicht. Mit mehr Infos zu OS X 10.12 darf wohl im Sommer 2016 gerechnet werden, wenn Apple seine World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) abhält.Apple wird am 15. März eine 9,7 Zoll Variante des leistungsstarken iPad Pro vorstellen. Das berichtete jüngst Mark Gurman von 9to5Mac unter Berufung auf Insiderinformationen. Bislang war die Gerüchteküche davon ausgegangen, dass der kalifornische Hersteller im Frühjahr 2016 das iPad Air 3 präsentieren wird. Das kleine iPad Pro soll nun auch den Apple Pencil unterstützen und bereits ab 18. März erhältlich sein.
