1. The punch wears too fast

The main reasons: ① The mold gap is too small, it is generally recommended that the total mold gap is 20% to 25% of the material thickness. ②The unevenness of the convex and concave molds is not good, including the lack of precision of the mold base and the mold guide assembly and the turret insert, etc., which cause the mold to be poorly neutral. ③The temperature of the punch is too high, mainly because the punch is overheated due to the continuous stamping of the same die for a long time. ④ Improper sharpening method of the mold causes the mold to anneal and aggravate wear. ⑤ Partial unilateral punching, such as step punching, punching or shearing, the lateral force will bias the punch to one side, the clearance of the side is reduced, causing serious mold wear, if the machine tool mold installation accuracy is not high, serious Will cause the punch to overshoot the lower die, causing damage to the punch and die.

2. The problem of mold belt

The die belt will cause the scrap to rebound, and its related factors: ① the sharpness of the mold edge, the larger the fillet of the blade, the easier it is to cause the scrap to rebound. ②The mold input modulus, the mold input modulus of each station of the machine tool is fixed, and the mold mold input modulus is small, which is easy to cause scrap rebound. ③Whether the gap of the mold is reasonable. If the gap of the mold is not suitable, it is easy to cause the waste to rebound. ④Whether there is more oil on the surface of the processed plate. ⑤ Spring fatigue damage.

Ways to prevent the mold from feeding: ① Use a special anti-banding die. ② The mold is often sharpened to keep sharp and demagnetized. ③ Increase the die gap. ④The oblique cutting edge die is used instead of the flat cutting edge die. ⑤ Install the ejector in the mold. ⑥ Reasonably increase the mold input. ⑦ Check the fatigue strength of the mold spring or discharge sleeve.

3. Mold neutrality problem

In use, the mold is prone to wear at different positions on the sides of the core, and some parts have larger scratches and faster wear. This situation is particularly obvious on narrow rectangular molds. The main reasons for this problem: ① The design or machining accuracy of the machine turret is insufficient, mainly because the center of the mold mounting base of the upper and lower turntables is not good. ② The design or processing accuracy of the mold cannot meet the requirements. ③ The guide bush of the die punch is not accurate enough. ④ The mold gap is not suitable. ⑤The mold mounting base or mold guide sleeve is not good for neutrality due to long-term wear.

To prevent inconsistent mold wear, you should: ① Regularly use the centering rod to check and adjust the machine tool turret and the mounting base. ②Replace the mold guide sleeve in time and select the convex and concave mold with appropriate clearance. ③Adopt full lead mold. ④Strengthen the operator's sense of responsibility, find the cause in time after discovery, and avoid causing greater losses.

4. Use of special forming molds

In order to meet the production needs, it is often necessary to use forming molds or special molds, mainly bridge molds, shutter molds, counterbore molds, turning tapping molds, boss molds, stretching molds, combined molds, etc. The forming mold can greatly improve the production efficiency, but the forming mold is more expensive, usually 4 to 5 times that of the ordinary mold. To avoid mistakes, the following principles should be noted and followed:
