B2B Lead Generation Strategy Types

It's the modern marketers’ way. When it comes to scaling your lead generation, it should not matter where you find them.

1. Lead generation without email forms
This is the way of modern marketers. When it comes to evolving your lead generation, it doesn't matter where you find them. There are a dozen ways to generate quality leads - social media, paid search, SEO, and downloadable content to name a few. What do all of this have in common? Almost all of them redirect prospects to fill out a subscription form on a landing page.

Forms aren't the best customer experience. The best customer experience would be simple and interactive. Think about all the success Mailchimp and Slack have had, and it's not because they were good at generating leads, but because they offered a free, easy, and interactive experience before the customer even went. think about a purchase. Therefore, offering a free tool or a trial is a perfect way to generate quality leads without having to post electronic forms.

2. Content syndication
It is futile to think that the customer journey will always start on your website.

Content syndication occurs when your web content is published by a third-party website. It involves all types of digital content like articles, white papers, eBooks, guides, videos, and infographics. It's a win-win: the third party gets relevant content for free, while you get a larger audience. Syndication is the barter system for generating leads, where most content syndicators drop leads on your website.

3. PPC
If you know your buyer's personality and target audience well, and want to see results faster, there is no better way to do that than pay-per-click advertising. Depending on your goals, you can publish your main ad in different ways; the most common platform for online advertising is Google AdWords. You can choose from three different methods for PPC advertising:

Research network
These are the ads that appear at the top of a search results page when you search for a product on Google. The advantage of the research network is that the intention is already there. Unlike advertising on social media, if someone is looking for "managed WordPress hosting," the potential prospect is either about to buy or do their research.

Display Network
These are the ads that appear on different websites and agree to allow Google to serve them to visitors. Created with Google's automated visual ad generator, it's easier to create multiple ads of different sizes. These ads generally have a lower CPC, but are lower in terms of conversions.

Retargeting
Sometimes also called remarketing, this is an aspect of the Display Network. However, instead of appearing on the search results page, these types of ads are shown to audiences who have visited your website before.

The benefit of having retargeted ads is how effective they are in giving you a better conversion rate, as the potential customer who visited your website earlier is more likely to buy. You can create the retargeted ads through Google AdWords or use third party platforms such as AdRoll or Perfect Audience. Usually wait 2-3 months when you start retargeting or remarketing. This will give you plenty of time to put together a decent list of people who have visited your site.

Warning: Remember that most people use Adblock or other programs to block ads these days. So, it could be that people are not seeing your marketing banners or targeted / clickable ads, or it could simply be because of the GDPR laws in place there and people have chosen to opt out of your list.
