How to Pay Attention to the Symptoms of Interstitial Cystitis?

All interstitial cystitis have characteristic pain and frequency of urination. Pain is the main symptom. Pain is related to the degree of bladder filling. Typically, the severity of pain is proportional to the degree of bladder filling. Pain is localized in the vagina, rectum or scrotum. After urination, it can be relieved, but it will appear with urine storage.

Interstitial cystitis(IC) is also characterized by periodic worsening of symptoms and periodic remission. Frequency of urination, the urgency of urination, pain in urination, pain may manifest throughout the day, for weeks or months or years, whereas spontaneous relief may occur with or without treatment. In women, fluctuations in symptoms are associated with the ovulation cycle. Fifty percent of women experience spontaneous remission.

Typically presenting as destructive inflammation of the bladder, some patients eventually develop to be a small bladder volume, bladder fibrosis, or upper urinary tract obstruction. No such progression was seen in nonulcerative interstitial cystitis. The two different types of IC show different histological, immunological, and neurobiological characteristics.

Under endoscopy, the classic IC manifestations are: in the mucosal area of diffuse congestion, many small blood vessels are radiologically oriented toward the central speckle area, sometimes covered with small clots or cellulose deposits. When the bladder dilates, the markings burst, it will produce characteristic bleeding.

On initial cystoscopy, the nonulcerative IC showed normal bladder mucosa. Mucosal biopsies are important for both classic and nonulcerative IC. Important differential diagnosis includes the exclusion of carcinoma in situ and tuberculous cystitis. The bladder potassium chloride permeability test is helpful for the diagnosis of IC.

Because the inflammation lasts for so long, it doesn’t get worse without treatment. We can use herbal medicine to strengthen our immunity. For example, Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill have the effect of diuretic tonguing, which can effectively relieve the symptoms of urethra and bladder irritation, making urine usually, bladder volume recovery.

The formula of plantain seed has treating stranguria and moisten to prevent diarrhea; dianthus superbus can benefit water dehumidification, activate blood circulation and other medicinal materials can benefit urine and relieve drench, and effectively relieve and eliminate the symptoms of fine urine, frequent urination, urgent urination, unclean urine, bifurcation of urine, astringent pain of urine, dripping urine and burning urethra. Thus effective radical cure interstitial cystitis.
