Two pieces of the same printed Oxford cloth, the back of the pu coated fabric, you can also roughly know what the front looks like.
And the PVC-coated cloth looks like a thick layer of white glue, which feels harder, and you can't see the front cloth from the back. Backpacks coated with PVC will harden when exposed to cold, while high-end backpacks mostly use PU coated fabrics, and their hardness will not change significantly when exposed to cold.
In addition, in PVC calendering, the base fabric is coated and primed. The PVC slurry is first made into a PVC paste according to the formula, and then pressed into a certain thickness of PVC film by a special machine, and then pressed on the base fabric at high temperature, dried and cured, and then cut While rolling.
One is the feel: PA has a harsher feel, PU is smoother, and PU has better elasticity than PA; One is gloss: PA has no gloss, PU has gloss and brighter; Another PU has a good film feel and feels like a film to the touch.
In short, PU is brighter, has good elasticity, and has a film feel, while PA does not have these conditions. Of course, it is still difficult to distinguish by these ordinary novices. By the way, let me teach you a little trick: 1. Use an eraser to press on the cloth and lift it up. The PA will stick with the eraser but the PU will not stick. 2. Put a few drops of toluene on the coating surface of the two cloths (if possible), and then gently rub it with your hands (be careful not to touch the toluene directly), the PA coating will fall off, but the PU will not fall off.
Pu has the characteristics of soft and elastic; it has good strength and can be used for very thin coatings; it is porous, with moisture permeability and air permeability; wear resistance, moisture resistance, and dry cleaning. Disadvantages: high cost; poor weather resistance; hydrolyzed when exposed to water, heat and alkali. PA advantages: good fastness to sunlight and weather, not easy to yellow; good transparency and compatibility, which is conducive to the production of colored coating products; good washing resistance; strong adhesion; low cost. The disadvantages are poor elasticity, easy to wrinkle; poor surface finish; difficulty adjusting the hand feeling moderate.
