The priority poll 4 in OSRS has received lots of concerns since it was posted on June 22. Although various contents have been provided for voting, it was believed that the majority of community gives preference to PVM, which must lead to unfair situation for those who want Quests for rs 07 item earning. New format, different level tiers & various contents provided in priority poll

The priority poll 4 is different from previous ones, in which Jagex pays more attention on what players would like to see than specific pieces of contents. Put simply, players will have various contents to vote, including PVM, skilling contents, quests, QoL updates etc. Fox rated the importance of different contents on five-point scales, with 1 for not at all important to 5 for a priority. At the same time, different level tiers would be provided, allowing players to choose specific level content for some types of content. Ideas to make a balance and give both PVM and Quest players an option

1. A couple smaller priority polls focus on different contents

For many players, it is kind of certainty that PVM will be the top priority due to its’ wide popularity now. PVM devoutly to be wished in the future, but there should be also enough contents to allow skill players and quest fans to get their fill of updates. Considering that, some players suggested that Jagex provides a couple smaller priority polls that separately focus on PVM, Quests, Skilling update or others, and then picking the 1 or 2 top options from each as the new long term goals. Thus it can meet the majority’s need while also cater for the minority’s requirements.

2. Priority poll works in rotation to give priority for different contents

Similar to the above suggestion, this idea is aiming at giving different players with different options. Originally, it was suggested that priority poll should work on a rotation system, and when something is voted as the top priority, it should fall off the list until all of the rest of the options have been exhausted. Thus, players will fairly see an all round level of contents rather than keeping a single content on indefinitely. Another idea with similar effect shows that the top priority keeps for 3 months, while giving other contents a turn. Due to develop time, it seems not so practical to make all contents, but it is still a good idea to give players more important contents.

Although things are still in plan, Jagex told that a poll on what content you want adding for each category is likely to happen. So you can expect for more interesting contents, just be active if there are other potential ideas from you.
