Details about XP boosts for Deadman Mode in OSRS

After some time’s planning, Jagex eventually put forward the concept of Deadman Mode to collect players’ feedback. In this new mode, once a player dies in PVP will lose his items in bank and even in inventory to the person who kills him. For players who haven’t known, here is the latest news about details on Deadman Mode that just posted on RSorder. It means that higher ranked players will still have more advantages than low-level player in this kind of combat. Thus, to give a balance and provide new players a chance, someone pointed out that more XP gains should be given for low-level players, while the higher level one get less. For example, giving x 98 XP for level 1 players, x97 XP to level 2, x 96 XP to level 3, and decreasing XP by that analogy.

XP boosts provide chance for both low& high level players

Basically, most players agree this suggestion since it is a potential idea for long-term development. According to these players, this kind of XP gains can give new players a stage to join in combat, while it also gives high rankers a chance to restart after being dead. Originally, it is a good chance for high rankers to get others’ items and efforts for free. However, if they die in fighting, everything will end up, and lots of time will be required to restart. But XP boost will help to deal with this problem, granting more time for having fun rather than trying to grind back up for a long time. So this is a good method for both low-level and high-level players.

XP boosts will reduce the challenge and make less sense

In comparison, some other players think that you will lose the challenge of risking your stats with the xp boosts. Dying with hours or days of progress, you will think about how to attack others and get back your items rather than just attack them because you don't risk that much anyway if you die. To keep the mode long-lived, the addition of City Guard is a good way that making killing people more risky. Deadman mode is all about surviving, if you don't lose when you die, there is nothing about 'surviving'.
