Neverwinter is a game based on the popular Dungeons and Dragons board game, and is developed by Cryptic Studios for the PC and Xbox One.

According to the Christian Post, the Neverwinter: Elemental Evil expansion will be released on September 8. The expansion will be for the Xbox One version of the game, which was released earlier this year.

The Christian Post said that the Elemental Evil expansion combines all the content from four previous expansions released for the PC version of the game.

These four expansions are the Elemental Evil, Fury of the Feywild, Shadowmantle and Curse of Icewind Dale expansions, IGN reported.

With the expansion, Gaming Target said, the game will receive a new character class: the Oathbound Paladin. The Oathbound Paladin will join the already existing Cleric, Wizard, Weapon Fighter, Guardian Fighter and Trickster Rogue classes.

Gaming Target also reported that there will be new adventure zones as well as four end-game campaigns and in-game dungeons to be added to Neverwinter through the Elemental Evil expansion.

Game Zone added that the Oathbound Paladin will be available in two sub-classes: the Healer or the Guardian Fighter, which is known in MMORPG circles as a Tank.

Aside from the new classes, Game Zone said, the expansion will also introduce fixes to the game's Achievements functionality, and will also raise the Level cap from 60 to 70. The expansion will also increase the maximum levels in all in-game professions as well as introduce changes to the multiplayer section's vote-to-kick system and raise the cap in companion quality to legendary.

Elemental Evil follows after the "Rise of Tiamat" expansion in June. A report by Game Zone in June said that there will be five expansions for the Xbox One version of Neverwinter. With Elemental Evil, players can still expect three additional expansions before 2015 ends.
