A recent announcement says that players who fight a Zamorak Mage to dig for a clue scroll are possibly attacked by a player in single combat wilderness. In fact, being completely safe in the Wilderness is not something Jagex are happy to exist in 2007 rs gold. Such a decision can not only keep the risk, but also avoid abusing Clue Scrolls in game.

Use Clue Scroll to be completely safe in single Wilderness
In the past, players who are trying to do a Clue Scroll manage to get away from PKersby being attacked by a Zamorak Mage. There was a wildly resource area filled clue scrolls so that people can always be able to spawn Zamorak mages and escape fighting successfully. It may be an intended game mechanic which abides by the way the game is meant to be played. But currently, players take off offensive gear, harass doing clues in Wilderness, and the x-log. It is abused and some people fight with no risk. Usually, they just need to snap up few free runescape 2007 gold from RSorder and then use this trick to make money. No pain, but more gains. Jagex never allows anyone to ruin their game like that.

Change: people spawning Zamorak Mage for clues can be attacked
Such an actual potentially game-broken method of abuse should be removed, because in Runescape 2007, Wilderness means danger wherever you are, and being completely safe in the wilderness is not something Jagex are happy having in game. This game mechanic has ruined the rules eventually.
Finally, to prevent people using hard clue scrolls to be completely safe in single wilderness, a potential decision allows players who are fighting a Zamorak Mage to dig for a clue scroll to possibly be attacked by another one in single combat wilderness zones.
It is suggested to add a 10 second timer to be able to spawn a zamorak mage after you've been in combat with another player, instead of changing the mechanics. But personally, that cannot mop the floor with the abuse.

In addition, you may have noticed that this time, Jagex never released a poll for this change, but made a decision at their will. They did a good job already, and PKing can work well again in Wilderness. To be honest, I like free RS 2007 gold and rewards as well, but I would rather enjoy the fairness in Wilderness.
