Trance DJ and producer Robert Miles has passed away aged 47.
The Swiss-born star, who was most famous for his '90s smash-hit Children, passed away from an unreported illness, in accordance with DJ Mag Italia.
Miles, real-name Robert Concina, have scored a number one struck in six countries with his iconic floor-filler before moving on to more experimental sounds; eventually establishing Open Lab (a Balearic radio station).
His dying was first reported by DJ Mag Italia, which explained that Robert experienced passed away from as of yet unknown disease.
"The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset, " said his long-time friend, Joe T Vannelli.
"I will miss the fights, brawls, criticism, judgements but especially your talent in finding sounds and melodies unparalleled. "
A host of his fellow DJs took to social mass media as the news shattered to express their surprise and sadness at the news.
Legendary House DJ Pete Tong wrote on his Twitter: "Sad to hear Robert Miles passing r. i. p i appreciate music #deconstruction#classichouse. "
An additional icon of the '90s electronic scene, Darude, wrote: "#RIP Robert Miles. I want to thank the inspiration, direction & courage! "

Miles' was born in 69 in the Swiss town of Fleurier, though his family relocated to Malta when he was young.
