The collective has again offered visitors an immersive artistic experience, for the third time last October 2020 in New York.

Princeton, New Jersey - Monday February 1, 2020.

Artist Carole Jury from Lyon, France, has been living as an expatriate for six years in Princeton, New Jersey, USA. She is one of the eight finalists competing for the 2021 Public's Choice Award, one of the awards of 9th Edition of the French of Abroad Awards, created and organized by Le Petit Journal, a daily edition dedicated to expatriates from all over the world.

After working for almost fifteen years in the chemical industry - Arkema and KEM ONE, Carole Jury upheaved her professional career by choosing to focus exclusively on her art, an abstract painting of colors and layered structures relying on the use of Georgian oils from Daler-Rowney. Driven by this irresistible artistic impetus, her work has opened doors to several galleries, including Azart Gallery-NYC, Alessandro Berni Gallery-NYC, the Gallery des Artistes-sud de la France.

She regularly participates in major art fairs such as Scope New York / Miami, Aqua Art Miami, or Art world Dubai, to name a few. Most recently, the MuseumWeek 2020 team chose her work for the annual event's official visual, showcasing one of her “Lagoon” series.

For this 2021 Public's choice award, Carole is selected for her efforts to promote fellow female artists through the collective “Women Artists from France to USA" she founded two years ago. Born from the camaraderie between French women artists with the desire to share their art through exhibitions, the collective has again offered visitors an immersive artistic experience, for the third time last October 2020 in New York. “The collective pushed me to knock on the door of the Awards, to put forward fellow female artists, talented and daring women who pursue their dreams and passion far from their birth country, far from their family. The place of women in Art is still fragile!” explains Carole Jury.

Ambassador of the Only Lyon community in New York, Carole proudly wears the colors of her birth region, where she returns every year to spend the summer with her family. Next June 2021, she will be back in France for a solo exhibition in the heart of the capital of Gaul.

The public has until February 8th, 2021 to decide between the candidates.
