Idk why ppl say its hard being a rogue to receive invitations to join groups. I was a rogue and I created my own groups. You can start your own group if you can't get accepted to any. The greatest benefit of creating your own groups is that you literally can choose the equipment you would like by inviting the ppl who dont need the gear. I was able to get full bis because I picked people who dont require leather equipment.

Yes, my avatar is a feral. I generally tank, however occasionally I want to enjoy a few minutes and gain some badges without the stress of leading the run. It's a bit frustrating when the group is doing AOE pulls and I'm sitting there, giggling at each mob that dies before I am able to earn 5 combination points. Cat really isn't great in 5 man battles, unfortunately. The utility you mentioned can be nice. If there's an arcane mages among your players, they'll surely like the innervates. It helps me feel a bit more confident about my personal DPS.

You can heal your feral with the help of the magic power. It's not like you're a boomkin who can cast spells. While I know that I don't want to explain how to play, I do think that the 950 level is about two-thirds of the more powerful dps classes. Anything lower than that is almost carrying. A team could carry 500 DPS. It is impossible to gain any power over dungeon groups when you force that you do dps in these scenarios.

I'm off heal only for those rare moments when the healer is incapacitated (and the tank's overall health is getting extremely low, for example) or when oom or innervate is cooling down. .... I will off-tank when necessary or when the tank has been damaged for reasons of any kind. Bres is also cooling down.

You must constantly be grouping with some pretty incredible DPs as on average I've seen a lot of other classes pulling 700-1.2k overall. Since we're a hybrid class I'd say the average I'm pulling isn't too bad when you consider what else I bring to the table. I also give an additional 5% of critique to everyone else.
