I agree about dds, but again that is more for outlast/pure fights- and the reason I say for pure battles is even for wildy pure fights, mostly they're on brews and you are able to output much dps (even during prayer occasionally ) that they simply can't out heal it. But for different builds unless you're in good strength bonus you won't be koing people with dds unless they do not know how to consume. In the end you won't end up learning anything more than you could learn in lms since it's also outlast, unless of course you're one of the 3 individuals who like to hybrid fight in edge pvp.

I get what you are saying but there has not been some mention of how high the entrance cost would be and the ELO would affect finding struggles. You'd obviously learn as you play along with the ELO would help you find players in your skill level, it wouldn't be perfect but it may work. I would see it as a means to see yourself enhance in ranks and revel in the pvp aspect of Runescape without risking too much. And you would not get stomped on as much since it'd be contrary to a person of position, it would simply need to gain traction for individuals to give it a try. Knowing jagex they'd only do you tweet and put in a little part at a skilling blog mentioning it would fail by default due to people not knowing about it.

You are probably right. But again the way elo works you constantly (tend to) fight individuals of the exact same skill level, which means that you never see yourself actually enhance cause you never get the feeling of absolutely dicking somebody down. And the second they enter real pvp they would find out real fast that their training wasn't the ideal kind of training. I used to do"fun struggles" as they were called with my friends virtually every day, but now nobody does.

So I really don't see why something that is basically the specific same - fighting your friend - i.e. a person of your skill level, without the risk and the same gear, would be popular today when it can be done. Maybe people just don't have friends? Perhaps because all their friends are pvm focused, because pk focused friends are good enough to pk? I know I don't have any friends that could pleasure fight at the duel arena with me. Actually on that note, I've seen some very weird fights between what I assume were buddies in actual dangerous zone at pvp worlds - perhaps they don't even know they could do exactly the same thing with no risk in the duel arena?

Difference is these would be fights between randoms and also there are a price for winning therefore it could be an incentive to try to do your best, and it is great if it is slow to start with since they then can gradually learn the correct use of brews, overheads etc. which is the most important part of nhing. Not to mention the innumerable amount of individuals who'd play for ranked just because an ELO system will be in place, I will not even mention lms also it's rank system cos that shit is dumb.
