With tremendous amounts of waste and trash being dumped into the environment.

With the dawn of the twenty-first century came the age of industrialization. The demand for diverse products has been skyrocketing, due to which the production of various sectors of the global economy have escalated to a point where for almost every problem that we face in our daily lives, there is a solution. Though the process of industrialization gave the world wonders, but just like a coin having two sides, industrialization came with its own wide range of drawbacks. With tremendous amounts of waste and trash being dumped into the environment, it would not be wrong to say that our ecosystems are on the verge of collapsing. In the midst of all this ‘trash’, the process of recycling has come into trend. However, with a lot of uncertainties and queries regarding this process, here are the golden fundamental rules of recycling:

What to recycle?

Many people want to recycle, but have no idea what kind of materials can be recycled. So instead of swaying all your waste into the garbage bins, here are a few of the many items that you can help to recycle: cardboard, aluminum cans, paper and plastic bottles. Although you might have to note that while you look forward to recycling these items, you need to ensure that they are in an idyllic condition.

What recyclable items need to be protected from?

While you may meticulously follow the process of recycling, there is still a possibility that you might make the slightest of a silly mistake. You need to ensure that all the food leftovers or any kind of beverage go to the garbage bins and are, at all costs, kept away from the recyclable items. If they by any chance are discarded with them, it would lead to spoilage due to which no recycling would be able to take place.

What cannot be recycled?

Out of all the items that can be recycled, the one item that cannot be recycled is plastic bag. This is the reason many countries around the world have initiated the process of discarding plastic bags out of their economy and this includes not only plastic bags but also plastic wraps and plastic films.
