I'm Melody, a calligrapher and designer for brides, creating custom stationery for weddings in Singapore. I love the blossom of ink on paper, the press of brass into wax, the drape and sheen of frayed silk -- all the details and texture that go into lovingly-made stationery. My writing style aims to hit that sweet spot between the romance of classic calligraphy and the playful whimsy of modern lettering. I have created works for SKII, The Senso Group, Singapore Legal Advice, and have worked with Faber-Castell to teach lettering workshops. I'm also a PA-certified calligraphy instructor, and I love to teach - I was teaching for the Ministry of Education for five years previously. When I'm not holding a pen, you'll find me geeking out about linguistics in a classroom at NUS, or hidden in a soundproof room pretending to be the drummer for Muse.
