The demand for getting married in Italy has grown in 2023

The wedding tourism industry in Italy is making a comeback in 2023. A study currently conducted found that the demand for getting married in Italy this year has increased in demand with more than eleven thousand foreign couples getting married last year and this wedding season is expected to welcome an additional thousand couples. This is an increase of just shy of ten per cent.

2022 around two million visitors due to destination weddings with an average stay of around three nights, that’s revenue of approximately €600 million. That is an increase of eleven per cent from 2019. This increase in demand for getting married in Italy has kept the local wedding planners busy, including the expert team at The Tuscan Wedding. Couples from the United States are the first to choose an Italian destination wedding and accounted for just over twenty-nine per cent of weddings in 2022. This was closely followed by United Kingdom couples at just shy of twenty-six per cent and German couples at just over ten per cent.
