Hyderabad-India: Aadhaar number is a 12-digit random number issued by the UIDAI (“Authority”) to the residents of India after satisfying the verification process laid down by the Authority. Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident of India, may voluntarily enrol to obtain Aadhaar number. An individual needs to enrol for Aadhaar only once and after de-duplication only one Aadhaar shall be generated, as the uniqueness is achieved through the process of demographic and biometric de-duplication.

Features Of Aadhaar Card:

At present days Aadhaar card become the most important thing at our life style,So below some features are
 Aadhaar Card requires demographic information like name, date of birth or age (declared), gender, address, mobile number and email ID (optional) from applicants, adds UIDAI. Biometric data needed are ten fingerprints, two iris scans, and a facial photograph.
 You can now link your Aadhaar with the EPF account number. Through it, you can directly approach the EPFO for a withdrawal.
 The digital life certificate or the Jeevan Praman for pensioners, abolishes the requirement for a pensioner to be physically present in order to receive his/her pension. Pensioner can continue to receive their pension without leaving home.
 According to UIDAI, about 1.2 billion Aadhaar numbers have been generated till date.
