How To Check your PF Account Amount:

There are four ways to check your Provident Fund Account balance, these are:
• EPFO portal
• EPFO app
• SMS
• Giving a Missed Call
1. By using the EPFO Portal:
If you check your PF balance By Using the EPFO Portal, first you need visit the website https://epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php but before that the employee must have his/her Universal Account Number or UAN activated. A UAN is unique to every employee. It is provided by the EPFO but activated by the employer. The UAN does not change even if the employee switches job.

If the UAN is activated, the employee is required to follow the following steps:

Step 1: Visit to the EPFO portal. Click on 'Our Services' tab and choose "For Employees" option from the dropdown list.
Step 2: In the employee page to click on the option "Member Passbook" under the "Services" option.
Step 3: Click on the "Member Passbook" button will lead to a new window. This is the log-in page. Here you need to enter his/her UAN and password.
Step 4: After logging-in, you can view your EPF account details.

2. By using the EPFO app:
Prerequisite – In order to check EPF balance, make sure that your UAN number has been activated by the employer.EPF balance check can also be done by downloading the “m-sewa app of EPFO” from Google Play Store.
Step 1: Once the app is downloaded, you need to click on ‘Member’ and then on ‘Balance/Passbook’ option click.
Step 2: And then Enter your UAN and registered mobile number. First of all The App will verify your mobile number for your UAN Number, If you login from other mobile number than you registered one, it will show an “error MSG”. And if gets matched, you can view your updated EPF balance details.
By Sending an SMS to know your PF Balance:
You know the PF Balance through SMS, you can have an activated UAN Number and its integration with bank account, Aadhaar or PAN are required to know your EPF account balance. KYC details must be complete to know EPF balance by sending an SMS from your registered mobile number. . If you are unable to do this, you can take the help of your employer to do this.
Once,If your UAN is registered with EPFO, simply follow the below steps:
Step 1: First,You need to Type a message like this: EPFOHO UAN ENG if you want information in English. For other language’s type the first three letters of the spelling of the word, e.g. HIN for Hindi, TAM for Tamil, MAL for Malayalam and the like.

Step 2: Send the SMS to this number 7738-299-899.

4. By giving a missed call to Know Your PF Balance :
If your UAN is registered with EPFO, simply follow the below steps:
Step 1: Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number.
Step 2: After giving missed call, you will receive an SMS on your registered Mobile Number, The SMS will have to given the EPF account Details and balance details.
