An in-game poll for the new skill Warding was carried out, and currently the result has been confirmed. This skill will not be added to game as the poll fails to reach the 75% approval mark.

There was an in-game Warding poll this month. As OSRS Warding poll was closed at 4:30pm (BST) on July 24th, the result has been revealed in the latest Old School official news post.
With 125,147 number of votes, this poll was the largest content poll in Old School’s history. The results to question one “Should we add the core skill, Warding, to the game as described in the blog?”, with 125,147 amount of votes cast, were:
82,633 (66.4%) said Yes to Warding.
41,726 (33.6%) said No to Warding.
As the result has failed to reach the 75% approval mark, Warding will not be added to the game.

What is the next step after Warding?

The develop team also reveals their next steps in the news post as players are curious about that. They going to do more digging into whether there’s general appetite for a new skill - and if so, what that should look like and how it should be brought into game. The team will also be taking this opportunity to review all three skills polled in Old School’s history so far. The one thing the team will commit to is that they will bring forward new ideas and proposals as early in the concept process as possible so that players’ voice can be heard to make something they are all proud of.
