SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Relegen, a leading supplier of people and technology to Defence, maritime, law enforcement, mining and asset-intensive industries, today announced it had been selected to participate in the Defence Materiel Organisation’s [DMO] Maritime Systems Division Key Divisional Suppliers program.

Relegen now forms part of a key group of 20+ suppliers who have been selected for inclusion in the Key Divisional Suppliers program after being successfully audited by the DMO. Other private-sector Key Divisional Suppliers include Rolls Royce, Saab Group, Thales, UGL Limited, Wartsilla and more.

Building on relationships with these best-in-class providers, the program aims to support the DMO’s efforts in creating a strong, agile and intelligent supply-chain – including the delivery of critical capabilities which have a significant impact on the business outcomes of the DMO’s Maritime Systems Division.

Key Divisional Suppliers are also leaders in the provision of safe and quality support services. Relegen itself is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and audited annually by Det Norske Veritas which ensures all projects are governed by a rigorous Quality Management System [QMS] assessment regime.

“The private sector plays a significant role in supporting the Australian Defence Force, and as a business, this is something we are passionate about at Relegen. Our strength lies in bringing together best practice professional services and asset and risk intelligence technology expertise, honed over thirteen plus years’ experience working at a mission-critical level with Defence” said Paul Bennett, Relegen’s Managing Director. “We are strongly committed to supporting the RAN as it looks to drive best-practice asset and risk management to meet the challenges of continued fleet availability and operational readiness. And, we are looking forward to working with the other progressive suppliers in the program for the achievement of these goals.”

The first meeting of Key Divisional Supplier program was led by Commodore Adam Grunsell CSC RAN Director General Maritime Support at the recent Pacific 2013 event, Darling Harbour, Sydney, which coincided with the Royal Australian Navy’s 2013 International Fleet Review. The group has plans to meet at key Defence and Industry events moving into the future.
