You Can't Play Your Druid at Maximum Without These WoW Druid Macros!

No matter what players tell you, it's not the gear or the talent build that allow you to become a pro, playing a druid. It's all in the macros and keybinding.

The druid is maybe the hardest class to play in World of Warcraft, especially on the feral spec. If you don't use at least a few WoW druid macros on this spec, you won't pass the stage of a druid noob.

Of course, macros are important for boomkin and restoration specs, but if you're play feral, they are crucial. To be honest, I couldn't pass 1700 arena rating with my friend until I started to work with a WoW keybinding and macro tool.

Anyway, in this article I'm going to focus especially on the WoW druid macros for feral. This is what you must know.

The most important druid abilities to use in macros

Feral-tank

1. Swipe, Maul and Thrash. These are the most important tanking AoEs. You must use them at maximum to keep aggro on yourself and build as much threat as possible. They can easily be put into sequence WoW druid macros. A macro like this will greatly simplify your job as a tank.

2. Defensive trinkets and cooldowns. Usually, you have to manage your all your defensive abilities that you have, using each one at the right time. But, if a mob casts a devastating ability, or enters an enrage mode, a macro that burns all defenses at once may save a raid from a total wipe.

Feral-DPS

1. Tiger's Fury. This ability is used especially to generate energy. However it also provides a short duration DPS boost. To maximize this your can cast it along with other damage boost buff, trinkets or other items.

2. Stealth. This is very important for PvP and PvE. Rogues receive a whole new ability bar when they use stealth. Druids don't and to play as feral-cat effectively, you have to forge your own bar. That's why you must fit your Stealth ability into a bar changing macro.

WoW druid macros for PvE and PvP

PvE

Especially if you're a tank, it's best to use a "castsequence" macro for the abilities that I mentioned above. As a feral-cat, putting into a sequence macro all the abilities in your rotation will allow you to keep each one up all the time and score a huge DPS.

Of course, "use" macros for various trinkets and cooldowns are important for PvE as well, regardless if you're DPS or tank.

PvP

In PvP, no matter what spec you're going to use, boomkin, feral or resto, expect to be rooted. Therefore, you will be needing a shapeshifting WoW druid macro to escape roots and snares every time and shake off your pursuers, or catch up with your target.

Just as for PvE, "use" macros are vital here. In many situation your team needs a DPS burst to terminate an opponent team member so if you don't cast every damaging cooldown that you have at one single click, you will lose precious seconds.

Important:

No matter what players tell you, it's not the gear or the talent build that allow you to become a pro, playing a druid. It's all in the macros and keybinding.

However, putting together the optimal keybinding and designing the right WoW druid macros is quite a pain. It will consume a lot of your time. That's why, I wrote this article to show you the best shortcut for the keybindings and macros of the druid pros.

To reach my 2344 rating, and become our guild's main tank, I've been working with a WoW macros and keybindings addon. I want to recommend it to all the players because it's just awesome.
