If Blizzard would like to make Diablo II: Resurrected as accurate as possible, it has to include Moo Moo Farm. Fans spent hours upon hours trying to decode the code in the first game, and many have fond memories fighting the Hell Bovines and overthrowing The Cow King. Not including it'd disappoint Diablo's most dedicated fans. Even though the Cow Level isn't the most important or radical planet in Diablo's extensive universe, it still played a pivotal role in the experience.

Its foolish character and ludicrous enemies provided comic relief from the game's black tone. Blizzard are smart to deliver Moo Moo Farm into the modern era and include it in Diablo II: Resurrected. Without it, the remaster will have an empty void only The Cow King can fill.

Blizzard was not kidding when it told Polygon the new remastered Diablo II would be faithful to the first. You'll even be able to pick up where you left off with your 20-year-old savegames. "Yes! Yes, keep these " Producer Matthew Cederquist told journalists, saying that the team called it"the best feature ever."

As a lapsed player , the very idea is giving me chills -- harmful ones, ones whom I imagine are similar to what Gollum felt in The Lord of the Rings when he made a decision to pull The One Ring off his brother's throttled corpse. I believed I could safely leave this match behind, but no. It appears I might want to track down an old friend shortly.

For the rest of the first game's fanbase, though, this might be incredible news: players like me spent substantial sums of time grinding Diablo II's supervisors and levels to dust looking for particular items, and of course selling them online and trading them inside a game which wasn't really designed for this type of thing. (One special rare item, the Stone of Jordan, was really used as a makeshift form of currency.)
