Blizzard have surprisingly announced an update for WoW Classic

Those responsible at Blizzard have surprisingly announced an update for WoW Classic for the upcoming ID change. Also included: the Chronoboon Displacer.

Those responsible at Blizzard have announced an update for WoW Classic in the official WoW forum for the upcoming ID change on April 21, 2021. The patch is said to have a number of innovations in its luggage that we only expected with the pre-patch of Burning Crusade Classic. There are also other improvements that Blizzard had not previously announced.

The Chronoboon Displacer is coming

In March, Blizzard presented the Chronoboon Displacer to us for the first time, with which it will be possible to save active World Buffs for a later date.

The Chronoboon Displacer is an item that you can buy for 10 gold from Chromie in Andorhal in the Western Plaguelands after completing two quests for her (A question of time and Tempus Fugit - thank you for that Checking, Sunny!). You can buy multiple displacers and even trade them with other players as long as you haven't saved any buffs with them.
This is how it works: As is currently the case, collect all World Buffs that you want to use in the next raid. Then activate the Chronoboon Displacer to receive the "Supercharged Cronoboon Displacer". This represents a kind of storage of the World Buffs active at the time. Via an aura you can see which Buffs were saved and what the duration of the effect was at the time of saving. Now you can play your character, farm with him, help guild colleagues, do PvP or whatever you feel like doing. Shortly before the raid you activate the "Supercharged Cronoboon Displacer" in order to receive all saved world buffs.
There are restrictions: if you have a world buff storage, you cannot receive a world buff associated with the storage. In addition, the Chronoboon Displacer has a cooldown of one hour as soon as you activate the "Supercharged Cronoboon Displacer", so that you can't even get a second World Buff load for the raid evening.
You can use the item in combat, by the way, but it has a casting time of six seconds.

Spell batching is finally removed

As early as January 2021, The developers had made adjustments for spell batching on the PTR of WoW Classic. The time window in which skills are processed by the game has been reduced from 400 milliseconds to 10 milliseconds. So in Classic there should no longer be strange situations in which, for example, a spell still goes through although it was interrupted in time. We'll find out how it feels on the live servers from Wednesday. We have already summarized the findings from the PTR below:

New priority system for buffs

Similar to the case with the debuffs since the launch of WoW Classic, the update will also give buffs a priority system. The aim is that short-term effects such as renewal, rejuvenation or an animal set effect no longer "kick" important world buffs or bottle effects from the buff bar. In addition, the buffs from Mark of the Hero, Rune of Dawn and Seal of Dawn are to be rated as passive aura in the future, so that they are no longer relevant for the upper limit of the buff.

Other changes and bug fixes:

In Heigan's room in Naxxramas there is no longer a safe place on the raised platform from the boss's mana burn when he is on the platform.
It is no longer possible in the Heigan room for you to receive double damage in one place from the waves of plague.
Adjustments have been made for summoned guardians of various pieces of jewelry so that they behave better in combat or actually participate in combat.
Shadow and Frost Oils can now trigger their effects even if the player is currently affected by the global cooldown (but there is still an internal cooldown for Shadow Oils).
Fixed a bug that caused Barov worker callers to only show a servant.
Problems with the Eye of Death trinket have been removed: spells like Chain Heal and Prayer of Healing now consume one charge / Healing Over Time spells now consume one charge when used.
Fixed an incorrect visual effect on the Cryptstalker's headpiece.
Fixed incorrect animations when using the Sulfur Staff and Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers.
City guards now correctly respond to / salute and / wave emotes.
