The Malaysia Theme Parks & Leisure Attractions Show aims to address the development opportunities and investment prospects for theme parks across Asia with a special focus on the development of the Malaysian market for amusement & theme parks.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: By 2019, Asia-Pacific region will account for 45 % of global attendance in amusement or theme parks, majorly owing to the large, fast-growing middle-class and young population. This market has also witnessed the highest growth rate in attendance of about 5% as compared to the North America and EMEA. For Malaysia in particular, the emergence of an affluent middle-class has encouraged the government spending as well as international entertainment brands to invest heavily in the leisure and attractions industry.

Malaysian tourism authorities are highlighting how the nation is becoming the 'theme park capital' of South East Asia, with almost 20 theme parks and water parks spread around the country, and with further attractions scheduled to open in the coming years. With theme park attendance expected to reach 540 million by 2019 in the region, Malaysia will be contributing to these figures at a growth rate of about 7.5% annually.

In keeping with this robust pace of development, The Malaysia Theme Parks & Leisure Attractions Show (1 - 2 November, 2017) is being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to explore new business opportunities and take the lead in the entertainment industry movement.

The supporting association for this event is the Malaysian Association of Amusment Themepark & Family Attractions (MAATFA) which works to bring together industry players in the common interest of developing the attractions industry.

The event will discover current trends and discuss the challenges in the theme parks industry and get insights from other international destinations such as UAE, New Zealand & Singapore. During the course of the event, the attendees can also explore the best practices of making your destination successful while finding opportunities for you to profit through shifting to digital methods.
