American Manufacturing employers and educators will gather together to provide essential insights on the talent management strategies for the region's manufacturing sector.

Chicago, 5th February 2016: The American manufacturing sector has a great importance for the country's economy. As per National Association of Manufacturers statistics, the sector contributed $2.17 trillion to the US economy. For every one dollar spent in manufacturing, another $1.40 is added to the economy. The sector also accounts for 9% of the country's workforce. The industry has experienced tremendous growth over the past few decades and is expected to grow even more during the next 10 years.

With the advent of digital technology, the sector is all set to go through a revolution. However, it has been forecasted that over the next decade, nearly 2 million jobs are expected to go unfilled due to skills gap in the sector. For these reasons, it becomes essential for the manufacturing companies in the country to revamp their HR strategies.

In order to remain competitive, the companies need to rethink their talent acquisition strategies, brainstorm ways to improve the outcomes of STEM education, understand the benefits of job reshoring, build talent through apprenticeship programs and implement various innovative talent management strategies .

Talent Management in Manufacturing is being organized with an aim to bring together the most influential manufacturing employers and educators to address recruiting redesign, workforce development, critical skill transfer and continuous innovation.

The conference will be taking place under the title of “ America's Manufacturing Summit”, along with the 2nd co-located event – Innovation in Manufacturing on April 7 – 8, 2016 in Chicago – Illinois.

Over a period of 2 days the conference will elaborate on trending topics for the sector such as creating holistic, cross-collaborative strategies to impact STEM & talent activities; changing the image of manufacturing; rethinking talent pools & talent acquisition; key drivers of manufacturing competitiveness developing skills through apprenticeship programs and much more.
