13 January 2016, Muscat: The role of HR is one that is continuously evolving. Over the years, the role has evolved from resource management, which simply involved recruitment, compensation and metric planning, to being a facilitator of Omanization by identification of roles and resources to build the national manpower development.

The role of HR is now evolving into facilitator of strategic excellence and strategic center in organizational vision and mission. In the current economic standpoint, HR Function is critical to strategic boardroom decision driving. The functions in this role include leadership development, executive leadership and providing support services to strategic output.

5th Annual HR Oman Summit, rotating around the central theme of human resource development, aims to brainstorm and discuss strategies relating to HR movement across Oman and trends in future as well as the various challenges faced by the industry.
