Based on state copper commission's (Cochilco) latest estimate in terms of mineral production, the goal of increasing Chile’s copper output is projected 6 million tonnes for this year. Growing environmental concerns along with decline in commodity prices is demanding the mining industry to implement new technologies and innovative solutions.
Fleming Gulf brings technology experts at the 6th Mine Tech Forum from 13 to 15 of October in Chile to discuss on adopting wide range of cutting edge technologies for improved mine productivity. Companies have invested in technologies as remote mining, autonomous equipment and driverless trucks and trains where they have reduced expenses by orders of magnitude, while simultaneously driving up productivity.
Through different streams dedicated to innovative technologies for operational excellence, surface and underground mining technologies and third generation automation and telerobotics, the forum will host over 20 sessions inclusive of panel discussions and case studies. Speakers at the forum include experts from Codelco, The Doe Run Company, National Robotics Centre and many more.
The conference will discuss on topics ranging from improved communication and navigation system, exploring the prospects of big data, going green in mining, automating excavation and extraction techniques through robotics operations and discussing technology challenges amongst others.
Attendees will have a chance to learn how to invest in emerging technologies and balance it with profitability. They will also formulate strategies to implement technology to increase efficiency, capacity and productivity, and derive optimum solutions to the current problems faced in the industry. This year summit focuses on the application and benefits of robotics and mine automation and the way transformation is done, improved navigation systems, exploring on the research conducted in automation and much more.Autonomous Solutions Inc. is the bronze sponsor of event.
