Dubai, UAE, November 25, 2015- Over the past few years, cyber crime and digital attack incidents have increased around the world. With the advancements in modern technology, growing popularity and convenience of digital networks the threats are becoming complex, thus delivering an investigation into the attack, however, comes at a cost. Therefore, with the aim to investigate the current trends and challenges, impact of recent threats and best-practice sharing, Fleming. organized it's first-ever formal Conference on Digital Forensics-Cyber Crime Investigation. Held on 24th and 25th November 2015 in Dubai, UAE, the conference showcased emerging technologies that can expedite the investigative process.

The conference featured various presentations, debates and panel discussions to acknowledge the importance of Digital Forensics in today’s digitized world and getting a closer look at the new & improved tools needed for a Digital Investigation.

Fleming. opened day-1 of the summit with a welcoming note to all the participants followed by an opening note by the chairman. Moving forward, Tamer El Bahey, Security Monitoring & Operations Du Telecom, spoke about various cyber threats and evolution from cyber attacks to cyber exploitation whereas Basel Al Omair, Director, National Centre for Cyber Security Technology, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shed light on Advanced Persistent Threats (ATP) and how to secure your network from becoming a network of compromised systems.

Following up from the successful opening day, day-2 was dedicated to Economics of Digital Forensics. Amr Mohamed Gaber, Chief Information Security Officer Dubai Media Incorporated spoke about securing enterprises, prompt detection & thorough Investigation. In addition, all attendees actively participated in a workshop conducted with an aim to focus on Incident Response Management & Asset Recovery. The event concluded with a wrap-up panel “Need of the hour “– A Global Approach between the private & public sectors conducted by various qualified industry professionals.
