Forum to highlight the key issues that need to be addressed pertaining to the coastal & marine engineering

One of the top maritime centres in the world is developing its marine borders for heavy industry use and expanding its geographical coastlines, primarily through the construction of ports and freezones. According to a top RTA official, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will build 12 new marine transport stations at the Business Bay Canal and the Dubai Water Canal, which will boost the country's maritime sector. In a recent report stated that the Marine transport sector is an integral part of the mass transit network in the emirate with an estimated 13 million passengers per annum.

In view of the importance of this sector, Fleming Gulf's Coastal Marine Construction and Engineering Forum taking place on the 12th and 13th of October 2015 in Abu Dhabi will highlight the key issues that need to be addressed pertaining to the coastal & marine engineering that will give insights on mitigating impact of dredging and reclamation activities, effects of climate changes on coastline and exploring ongoing and upcoming projects in the GCC region. The summit will showcase the success stories across GCC while boosting the skills and knowledge to overcome the challenges typical of coastal and marine developments and successfully deliver the projects.

The summit will discuss the projects such as 'Alexandria Port Development','Aqaba LNG Platforms & Terminal Expansions', 'Port Salalah', 'New Suez Canal' and many more by the key project presenters in the GCC region. The exhibitors at the summit will showcase their best practices and latest innovations in design and construction methodologies applied to current projects that drives the next level cost effectiveness, sustainability and efficiencies in regards to the development of coastal and marine projects in the GCC region.
