A proper maintenance program of plant equipment leads to significant decrease in overall operating costs, while improving the productivity of the plant as well. Plant reliability and maintenance plays an important role in determining the life expectancy of physical assets. An ineffective maintenance program may lead to induced losses, low productivity, destruction of equipment and higher costs.
In today’s competitive manufacturing environment, maintenance and reliability professionals are bound to improve manpower efficiency in maintenance operations, reduce downtime and facilitate effective maintenance programs. In order to achieve these goals, companies are in constant search for innovative maintenance and reliability techniques. Innovation and technology are the only solutions to tackle challenges such as achieving optimum productivity and reducing costs without compromising on reliability.
The 4th Plant Reliability and Major Maintenance Summit will gather maintenance and reliability professionals from across the Latin American region to discuss the latest technology advancements in the industry. The summit, to be held in Rio de Janeiro on the 2 – 3 December, 2015, will create an avenue for industry professionals and solution providers to learn, share and network with each other.
With an interesting line up of industry speakers, the summit will feature presentations from experts representing leading organisations such as Novelis, Petrobras, Samarco, and Petroamazons to name a few. Prof. Adiel Teixeira de Almeida, Co-Author, Multicriteria and multiobjective models for risk reliability and maintenance decision analysis, and Rogerio Arcuri Filho, Chairman of the Board, ABRAMAN will also conduct master classes on maintenance technologies and strategies.
For the last 3 years Rio has witnessed the development of a culture of reliability & effective maintenance strategies aided by the platform created at the Plant Reliability & Major Maintenance Summit. The last edition of the summit saw the participation of over a 100 attendees and 5 sponsors, with 24 knowledge sharing sessions, including presentations, case studies and panel discussions.
