3rd Annual LatAm HR in Energy, supported by ABRH - RJ, will focus on HR issues for the energy industry in the region.
 
“The Oil & Gas sector in particular is important for the state's economy of Rio de Janeiro, where many companies are located, generating thousands of jobs. As this sector uses advanced technology, the demand for technology educated employees with high degree of preparedness is high.” - Paulo Sardinha, President of ABRH - RJ.

The oil and gas sector in LatAm region is currently facing a lot of challenges. Talent shortage and employee retention are among the main concerns in the region as there is not enough technically proficient talent in the industry. Also, inflation continues to heavily influence salary decisions, pressurizing companies to try and match salary increases with inflation as much as the profitability of each business allows.

The 3rd Annual LatAm HR in Energy will bring together distinguished HR experts from leading energy organizations and provide a platform to brainstorm strategies and focus on the challenges faced by the region such as employee retention, talent shortage, employee engagement, leadership excellence and knowledge transfer.

It is being organized with an aim to bring together HR professionals and disseminating knowledge to develop people and organizations. Speaking about this, Sardinha said “We are pleased to support the conference as it will contribute to the development of potential and skills of the people of this important sector”

Taking place on 23 - 24 September 2015 at Windsor Atlantica Hotel, Rio De Janeiro - Brazil, this conference will be inaugurated with the keynote address by Manoel Dias, The Honorable Minister at Ministry of Labor and Employment – Brazil.

Carla Uchoa, Member of the Board at ABRH RJ & HR Director at Chevron and Paulo Cesar Medeiros, Under Secretary of Career, Compensation and People Development, Secretary of Planning - State of Rio de Janeiro, will contribute to the conference as key dignitaries.

Through intriguing real-life case studies, interactive panel discussions and exclusive speaker presentations industry experts will share and exchange new and innovative strategies that can be adopted to drive an organization performance during difficult times thus boost the future of HR sector in the region's energy industry.
