The 7th Edition of Fleming Gulf's MENA HR Summit, a gathering of regional experts and HR specialists from across multiple sectors was inaugurated yesterday at the Le Royal Meridien, Abu Dhabi, UAE. As one of the most anticipated summits for the HR sector in the Middle East region, summit chairman Ronald Thomas, a senior faculty of Human Capital Institute welcomed participants and delivered the opening remarks that set the tone for the summit proceedings.
Over 70 participants and delegates, comprising of high ranking company officials and solution providers from across Middle East region, took part in multiple presentations, panel discussions and workshops. Highlights of day one of the summit included keynote presentations on 'Transition to the Future of HR' by Sultan Al Hajji who is the Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer of TOTAL Exploration & Production, a case study from ADMA OPCO on 'Little Alignments for Greater Impacts' presented by Omar Salem Al Shamlan, Vice President, Manpower Development - ADMA OPCO and Edward Matti, Managing Partner of CCM Consultancy who spoke on retaining talent by building one's brand.
Participants we're taken through an insightful case study by Khaled Alhanaky, Chief Shared Services Officer of ARASCO, who shared his findings on 'HR Transformation at ARASCO' which has lead the company to be among the Top 10 Employers to Work For in Saudi Arabia. With Dubai wining Expo 2020, a special panel discussion on 'HR Transformation Agenda- 2020' highlighted winning strategies that can help companies manage their HR demands from the surge of business anticipated from the Expo.
