For all rock lovers in the world, this is an original track that you will love and include in your music playlist. Stand by for Alias Kid's upcoming single "She Don't Yeah Yeah Yeah", listen to the track and let us know your thoughts.

Alias Kid was signed to Cherry Red/359 by the legendary Alan McGee (Oasis, The Libertines, Primal Scream) on the night of only their 3rd live show. They immediately rose to prominence on the UK up-and-coming scene, and their debut album ‘Revolt to Revolt’ saw the band establish themselves as they toured with the likes of Black Grape, The Enemy, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Primal Scream, Sleaford Mods, and Happy Mondays (to name just a few).

Coronavirus hit bang in the middle of Pseudonym Alias Kid’s ascent and slowed things down for the band considerably for personal and practical reasons. They subsequently entered back into the studio with a brand-new lineup and returned with a collection of original singles and a brand-released album.

Having toured extensively across the UK and Europe (headlining gigs and radio appearances as far afield as Moscow) and supporting a host of established bands as well as playing their headline shows across the UK, Alias Kid have seen their music gain a whole host of industry and radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, Planet Rock, XS Manchester, and Radio X. With features in the likes of Louder Than War, XS Noize, Rolling Stone and The Mirror, the band already have a rich history of success, and hoping to resume their journey skyward.

Quotes Alias Kid's love:
"A great songwriting team and all stand-up comics!"
Shaun Ryder
"Alias Kid are artful hooligans. A band that is for the people and of the people."
Louder Than War
“Alias Kid is a great band, who slide between the 60's and 70's with ease.”
Andrew Loog Oldham (Rolling Stones Manager)

Q&A with Band:

How did you start in the music business?
It's a pretty weird story, to be honest. We set up the band just to get our friends out to the pub really - everyone was pretty boring. So we did that and then got a record deal on our third gig without actually even looking for it - just everyone seemed to love the live shows. We released an album and toured with some big acts (Jesus and Mary Chain, Happy Mondays, Black Grape). Then the Covid pandemic hit, the record deal went down the drain and now we are back releasing as an independent.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Usually, it is pretty upbeat, positive rock and roll, maybe with a bit of punk thrown in. That said, we have a couple of ballads coming out over the next year, so we might be getting a bit soft haha.

What is the current project about?
It's just about positive uplifting music. We believe people should go for their dreams in life if they have the chance.

How do you feel it will inspire others?
That's a good question. We've been on tour in Italy in the past and a young guy approached me saying that one of our songs saved his life - like he was literally thinking of killing himself. I have no idea how the song helped him, but apparently, it did. I suppose you never really know how a song is impacting someone on the other end of the radio.

What is your creative process like?
It varies - sometimes one of us has a song on an acoustic guitar that we all jam into place - sometimes we just go into the studio with nothing and start to play. Then after that, we put in the hard hours getting the most out of anything we come up with.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
I'm not really that interested in any famous musicians or artists, to be honest. Not that I think badly of them, there are plenty that I respect. But I am only interested in working with the people in Alias Kid.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
Again, nobody I am bothered about. We've done shows with loads of famous bands and they were mostly pretty nice people. That's all I am interested in really - people who are genuine and nice. If a famous artist is a genuine and nice person, then I am happy to open a show for them.

What is the most useless talent you have?
Haha - and this is true - I can do a Rubik's Cube in under 4 minutes. Not sure if that is fast though - some kids do them in about 10 seconds.

Do you sing in the shower?
Of course.

What songs?
Alias Kid songs.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?
There is nothing else I can imagine doing really. Maybe I would be a helicopter pilot. Dunno.

Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues?
We've toured all over Germany, Holland - even done shows in Moscow before the war. Pretty much every city in the UK as well. I can't say I have a least favorite venue - they have all been decent. Big festivals are always my personal favorite - loads of people and massive stages to move about on.

Do you have any upcoming shows?
Yeah, we have a few festivals in the UK this year and then probably some big support slots in the UK again next year. Can't really say too much about it though right now I'm afraid as it isn't 100% confirmed.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
Good and bad I think. It is easier for artists to release their music and get it out there, which I guess is a good thing. But then anyone can release anything - so the amount that listeners have to go through to find stuff they like becomes harder than it used to be. And it tends to be the same as it always was in that the acts with money or the big backers can float to the top just by spending a bit of cash.

What is your favorite song to perform?
I love performing She Don't Yeah Yeah Yeah - the one we are releasing first this year.

What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
Got lost in Moscow a few years ago while on tour - where nobody speaks English and all the signs are in letters that we couldn't read. It was freezing cold, thick snow, and about 3 am. We had done a gig and decided to walk back to the hotel, took a right turn instead of a left turn, and didn't make it back for 2 hours.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Be kind.

What’s next?
We have songs scheduled for release already for the next 12 months - followed by the album which comes out next Spring. Then it will be UK festivals and the start of our second run of singles which are now in pre-production. It'll be pretty relentless for the next 2 years I imagine!

What should the world know?
I can't teach the world anything, just be nice to each other and listen to Alias Kid.
