There's two types of Moen faucet. Using the older faucet, the whole handle is brought out and pressed in toward the bottom to manage water flow. Using the newer style, only area of the handle is lifted to show water off and on. The newer style has more parts, so disassembling the tap could be more time-consuming.v
Locate the setscrew within the handle. The screw might be right in front of the faucet handle. If it's not, it's located beneath the cap on the top from the handle.
Pry from the cap on the top from the handle having a screwdriver to reveal the screw, if required.
Unscrew the set screw within the handle.
Lift from the handle, exposing a round stainless cartridge collar by having an indent that points up.
Remove this cartridge collar by pulling on it by hand. This can expose the top of the a round cartridge being locked in place with a U-clip.
Grab the top U-clip with needle-nose pliers and pull it upright and out.
Grab the top cartridge using the pliers and pull it. When the cartridge is stuck, pull harder and it'll emerge.
