High Adoption of Herbicides: Brazil is the fourth largest agriculture economy and also the largest exporter of coffee and soybeans in 2018. There are currently (as o 30th November 2019) 166 commercial bio pesticides products approved in Brazil with 30 biological control assets. Adoption of GM Technology: Brazil is the leading producer of GM (Genetically modified) crops in Latin America, with three commercialized crops: soybean, maize and cotton and is the second largest producer of biotech crops in the world, next to the US, planting 50.2 million hectares of biotech crops in 2017.
