Steps to set up 2-step verification

You can follow the steps given below and activate 2-step verification to protect your Gmail account from the hackers:

Sign in to your Gmail account by entering the username and password

Click the ‘Gear’ icon on the top right of your Gmail page and scroll down the drop down menu to find ‘Settings’

Click ‘Settings’ and then find and click ‘Account settings’

Find ‘Signing in to Google’ and click it. Now you can scroll down the page and find ‘2-tep verification’

From now on, each time you enter the user-name and password to sign in to your Gmail account, the Gmail automated system will send you a secret code which you will be required to enter in the given space.
