SAP was introduced in the year of 1970s by 5 IBM German employees; Tschira, Wellenreuther, Hector, Hopp, and Plattner. In the initial period, SAP was developed as a standardized solution for customers.
 
History of SAP
In the year of 1972 five German employees of IBM namely Wellenreuther, Hopp, Hector, Tschira and Plattner introduced the term ‘SAP’. The founder of SAP was Weinheim who lives in Germany. The main headquarter of SAP is in Walldorf, Germany. Chairman of SAP is Hasso Plattner and the Chief Executive Officer aka CEO of SAP is Bill McDermott.
