Graphic Era University has bagged an award at the International Quality Summit. On this proud moment, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat expressed his happiness.

He had send the letter of praise on June 1, 2016 following the award ceremony. The University bagged the 30th place in the Gold Awards Section for maintaining quality. He also added that it is an occasion of great pride as Uttarakhand is a new state and every achievement adds to its glory.

The CM announced that the state government is looking into ways to improve the technical education sector to gain more attention as an educational hub. In the midst of planning activities to gain acceptance in the higher educational field, the award bagged by the University has come as a matter of great input for the state. He also added that this award was the result of the combined effort laid down by the President of the Graphic Era Group, Dr Kamal Ghanshala, the teachers and students together making Graphic Era - the best engineering and management college. Last year, in 2015, the University had gained the Best Regional University Award presented by the Europe Business Assembly.

The Gold Award is another leap soon after the NAAC certification. The NAAC accreditation was a proof of the excellence of the Graphic Era University and it was given 'Grade A' as certification after evaluation of the facilities and educational quality. The CM laid his total hope on the University to take the vision of making the hill state better equipped with technical and professional education. The aim of the state is to increase educational opportunity and thus link the educational sector to the industries to provide swift employment with qualified professionals. He asked the Graphic Era University and the Group to aim towards the same goal as set by the state so that it becomes a success story.

The International Quality Summit was held in New York on May 30, 2016. Out of 72 countries that participated, India was also one of the countries. The Prestigious gold award for maintaining quality standards was handed over to the President of the Graphic Era Group, Dr Kamal Ghanshala.
