Players loudly complain each when a skill gets made easier as it "cheapens" the game. Zezima quit because it was too difficult for the younger players. He believed that this was a devaluation of the work he'd done. It would be great to discuss the best way to solve this without destroying the game. It's not possible. It is not impossible, I think. Here are some of my thoughts:
Include relevant content starting from the bottom. Include content from levels 70 to 99 of Herblore if there isn’t enough. The severity of your xp curve can be decreased by, for instance, increasing the xp curve to 70. Skills should take longer to level however, not by 10 times as much. That never used to be an issue until it became necessary to go that high...now it is for many people due to the sheer amount of plenty of content available. There needs to be a way of making mid-level content more valuable, not just a means of achieving an objective (higher level content) however, I'm not sure what that might be like.
