Zadie and Aria bonded over their mutual love of exploring new experiences and thoughtful design in college, and have been best friends ever since. Deeply believing that every home could be a unique and inspiring space that is truly one’s own, Zadie and Aria founded Walden Theory to make the belief a reality.

Why Walden Theory? Walden comes from the book Walden by Henry David Thoreau, named after the Walden Pond near Concord, Massachusetts, and reflecting on the values of living simply. Theory refers to our objective to create products which are experimental, thoughtful, and useful.
