Krieghoff arguably stands alone as the top manufacturer of fine hunting rifles the world over. The first was built more than a century ago in Suhl, Thuringia where Ludwig Krieghoff and his partner founded the arms factory Sempert & Krieghoff in 1886. In 1916, Ludwig’s son Heinrich founded his own company and later incorporated Sempert & Krieghoff.

History was in the making in 1950 when Heinrich moved to Ulm, Baden-Wurttemberg and continued to build the Krieghoff name. Krieghoff was initially known for their custom stock making and fine hunting rifles. Heinrich leveraged those assets when he made the first Krieghoff shotgun, the K-32.
The K-32 quickly became internationally recognized, especially after it was used to win the world championship in trap shooting in 1966. In the 1970s,

Dieter Krieghoff took the family business to the US and took on the American shooting market for Krieghoff shotguns. Around the same time, the first K-80 went on sale, proving popular in competition shooting across America.

The K-20 incorporates all the technical refinements made in the famed K-80 over the years and shares all its technical features adapted to the smaller receiver. Its most exciting feature continues the tradition of the Model 32 and early K-80s. The K-20 can be fit with 28 gauge and .410 barrels to make a two- or three-barrel set for competition, bird shooting or pure small-bore enjoyment.
