Australia, 9 December 2022: As part of a review of the Data Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Government plans to empower consumers, protect their data, and serve the Australian economy in the best way possible. An announcement regarding the reviews as part of the Government's response to the competition commission's inquiry into digital platforms. To conduct the review, we will rely on various sources, including responses to two consultation papers from stakeholders on matters falling within its terms of response. Furthermore, feedback gained from discussions with stakeholders on specific subjects & existing research and reports will be taken into account during the review. During the review, the Online Privacy Bill will be introduced, creating a binding Online Privacy code for social media platforms and certain other platforms. In addition, it will enhance enforcement measures and increase penalties.
The Managing Director says, Since we began in 2018, our main concerns have been evaluating the worldwide wave of data privacy compliance and how the global vendor market is performing is reacting to this new global market. Most businesses need to be made aware of the full scope of the apps and systems used throughout their organizations. As a result, they need to find out where their data is stored. Using automated solutions to comply with privacy laws has also led businesses to decrease their staff size to just one person and complete the workflow in just a few days. Having identified that helping businesses automate their privacy and personal data landscape was the best place to start, we created a cutting-edge automated platform called "DataBench".
In Australia, DataBench offers fast, compliant, and easy-to-use solutions for automated data mapping and privacy management. New Zealand & Australia can now bring compliance processes around personal data back to the forefront of boardroom discussions by combining a Databench-designed solution with an automated solution. Owing to a major element of this platform, you can resign control over our data, which is very important to us. For more details https://databench.com.au/
