The pediatric advanced life support (PALS) course gives healthcare professionals the knowledge to enhance the quality of knowledge and skills provided to seriously ill or injured children and infants. The course focuses on identifying pre-arrest states and preventing cardiopulmonary arrest in children, resulting in improved outcomes. Self-Study:
Before the PALS course starts, participants who successfully register the course will receive a textbook, handouts or instructional materials at least one month before the classes start. Testing:

Recertification:
After completing a PALS class successfully, a student should be issued their certification card proximately after the class but no more than 20 days after the class. But, when the original certificate expires, PALS Recertification is necessary after every two years. As such, healthcare professionals must take a short review course and exam. A student must complete a short review course after the two years intervene in order to remain in touch with the technological innovation in this regard and come to know about the requirements of the AHA or another certifying body.
