Since English was not his native language, the school staff placed him two grades below his age level. Determined to succeed academically and on the soccer field, Kabine's dedication earned him recognition from the United States Marine Corps. He became part of the prestigious travel club team, Junior Lion Star, and received accolades as a distinguished athlete.
