The instructions after the surgery are not the same for all the clinics and the instructions are given according to the conditions and expectations of the patients. However, some universal rules are always the same.

The first week of the surgery:
During the first week, the hair roots are not so strong. Therefore it is not advisable to cover the head. On the second day, the patient can cover the head with the help of a hat or a bandanna. They must not go outside to avoid the contact of the scalp with the direct sunlight.  Washing the hair is not allowed until the third day does not arrive.  The surgeon teaches the patients how they should wash the hair and a special shampoo is also provided along with a sponge. The patients can go outside and generally, no one notices the changes you have except the friends or relatives.

Heavy activities like exercises must be avoided for one or two days. Any activity in which the patients have to touch the transplanted area is strictly prohibited.

The second week:
Wearing tight hats is not possible since the hair is stronger. Messaging the hair lightly will be beneficial for the hair.

Gradual hair loss:

During the first three weeks, the patients may experience gradual hair loss and some of the transplanted hair may fall but this is only a temporary stage. The transplanted hair starts to grow back around 2 – 3 months.

After 5 to 6 months, the patients will observe a significant growth of hair but full results are observed after one year.
